Crossbow Bolt and Arrow Heads 14th-17th century
Excavated. A large number of arrow and crossbow bolt heads. There is no particular organization to these. Some can be characterized. Crossbow bolt heads appear to include row 1 from the top, from the left numbers 7, 15, 16 and 17, Row 2 number 11 (possibly 10, 13 and 8), Row 3 5, 6, 16, 17 and 18. Row 3 number 12 is a Hungarian bodkin - for comparison see The Ancient Hungarians, Hungarian National Museum, 1996, p. 131

Cranequin circa 1591
Of large size. Dated 1591 with maker's mark (Neue Stockel 1808). Probably Augsburg. Maker's mark on the cover of the gearbox. Rachet bar engraved with the date and maker's initials AB at the top behind the claw terminal.

Pike Head 16th-17th century
Long square point. Narrowing to a rounded waist below a short round-section socket with 2 strap extensions. Excavated, but in with good patina. Staps broken at the first rivet. Found in the Thames at Custom House Quay near Southwark Bridge.

Bracer 17th c.
Made of horn, shaped to the arm (probably more curled than when in use) and decorated at the edges. Retains copper alloy rivets filed into simplified rosettes for the attachment of two straps. Retains washers and small portions of the straps under the washers.

Wood shaft with leaf shaped point with socket. Shaft fitted to the inside of the socket so that the outside of the socket is flush with the shaft. Vanes replaced.
