European Spur late 13th to early 14th century

Spur. Excavated in Germany. Cleaned. Arms arched under the ankle. One circular terminal which retains a buckle with integral mount and a strap mount. The other terminal forming a vertical slot through which the strap would pass. Small six pointed rowel.

Measurements: 2 9/16 in. wide at the terminals, 5 in. long from the end of the rowel to the end of the slot, slightly shorter on the side with a loop - 4 7/8 in. long on the loop side. Rowel stalk 7/8 in. long, rowel 1 1/8 in. point-to-point. Buckle built for a strap app. 3/8 in. wide. Circular section of the strap mount 7/16 in. diameter.
