Flemish/dutch type with rootwood scales forming the handle. Scales attached by 3 solid brass rivets with washers on each side. Brass bolster formed of two parts - uncharacteristically thick with a roped edge at the blade. Brass pommel in the form of a horse's hoof with a shoe.
